Antepartum Doulas are trained to assist women and their partners through any high-risk pregnancy. I can provide you with information, practical, emotional, and physical support to the mother and her family. The Doula's role is to listen to the woman's feelings, daily experiences, and to help alleviate any concerns of having a high-risk pregnancy or ordered bed rest. The Doula can do many of the practical duties that a woman would do for herself. A Doula's objective is to empower the family.
$25.00 per hour.
Payment is due at the time of service. We can work out a payment schedule if there is a need for it. I will make every effort to provide the services described above and those that we have agreed upon. When we agree on dates and times for my services I will make every effort to be there. Sometimes this may be impossible (for example, another client may be in labor). If this occurs we can either reschedule or I can call my backup and see if she is available.
Labor/birth Doulas accompany the mother during labor to help her have a more satisfying birth experience. She is there to provide emotional and physical comfort as needed, and can communicate with the hospital staff. She makes sure that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions that can arise during labor. A Doula can provide perspective and reassurance to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for a mother's comfort. Doulas are independent and self–employed. I work for you, not your caregiver or the hospital.
If you have a scheduled Cesarean section, I will attend your birth and provide prenatal and postpartum services as described.
$500.00
This includes a $150.00 retainer fee and the $350.00 balance is due no later than 2 weeks prior to the expected birth date. If the baby is born before this time, payment is due within 10 days after the baby's birth. If an induction or Cesarean section is scheduled, payment is due before that date. If my backup or I, fails to attend your labor/birth due to either of our errors, a partial refund will be considered.
A Postpartum Doula's duties can change from day to day, as the needs of the family change. She does whatever the new mother needs to enjoy and care for her new baby. A large part of a Doula's role is to educate the family. She shares information about the baby's care with the mother, and instructs the other parent and siblings of the baby, on how to help the new mother. A Doula can assist with breastfeeding education too. Postpartum Doulas also make sure the mother is fed, well hydrated and comfortable.
Babies and their parent's need 24⁄7 care. I am willing to be flexible and to work any hours that you require my services. We can discuss your specific needs and the times that I am available.

The birth of a baby is exciting and the only thing more thrilling is the birth of multiple babies. As with the birth of one baby, having multiples brings on additional wonder, anticipation and fears. You may ask yourself, how am I going to take care of one baby let alone two, three or more, at the same time? These questions, fears, and anxieties are perfectly normal. I asked myself many of the same questions you must be asking yourself.
This is an ideal time to contact a Doula, as I can be your live resource for your questions and concerns. At the same time, I can prepare you for what lies ahead and we can discuss your options and what kind of assistance that you might require.
One thing I know for sure is that at first, I needed help and you will too. A baby is a full time job, and multiple babies are akin to having several jobs. Family is a great source of assistance, but having a skilled professional Doula who has personally experienced a similar scenario is unquestionably in the best interest of you and your babies.
As your Doula, I will work to help you obtain your goals, I consider myself your professional assistant, and I am unbiased and able to assist you in “your“ choices for your infants care.
I can make your life easier, less complicated and more peaceful. I can coordinate your household to adjust to the babies’ schedules so you can rest, heal faster, and just be one on one with yourself, your partner and your babies. All of this will help you feel organized so you can enjoy “The Motherhood Journey.”
My work schedule is flexible. I can work with you any hours and for any length of time you may require (day or night).
